Plant Characteristics

Sansho, a plant of the citrus family, is a small fruit that is packed with a refreshing aroma.
Contains ingredients such as limonene, citronellal, phellandrene, linalool, and geraniol.

Sansho, which is said to have been used since the Jomon period, has long been a part of the Japanese diet, and is also prescribed in Chinese medicine as a herbal medicine. Because plants have always been around us and have protected us in our daily lives, their tingly scent not only stimulates us, but also gives us a sense of peace.

The yellow-green Sansho peppers are harvested in early summer and are characterized by their refreshing taste. A bright freshness is followed by a gentle sweet aroma.
